Quick Morning Post: CHEJ Launches Anti-PVC Campaign

It’s been a while since I’ve done a morning post, but I wanted to get this one up as quickly as possible. The Center for Health, Environment and Justice launches its new “PVC: The Poison Plastic” campaign today. The website features the Flash video “Sam Suds, and the Case of PVC, the Poison Plastic,” created by Free Range Studios of Berkeley and Washington, D.C. (the same folks that created “The Meatrix” videos, and “Store Wars”). Visitors can also take action by asking Target to phase PVC out of its products, a move Wal-Mart, Nike, Ikea and Johnson & Johnson have already taken. In conjunction with the site launch, there will also be a number of live activism events at Target stores around the country.

The video is fun, but provides users with some serious facts about PVC, including how to identify it. Enjoy, and if the spirit moves you, get active…
