Grieving for Oil

Fascinating essay by writer/activist Bob Burnett in the Berkely Daily Planet paralleling responses to the “peak oil” concept with the five stages of grief. I suppose some might accuse those of us promoting sustainability as “bargainers” rather than “accepters,” but I agree with Burnett’s implied claim that the latter is true. We are looking for large-scale, long-term action as opposed to each of us making a “seperate peace” with Mother Nature.
