Oregon Looking Towards a Renewable Energy Industry

From The Oregonian, news that rural Oregon may move towards a variety of renewable energy sources to redevelop its economic base with the dwindling of logging. There is a mention of envrironmental concerns towards the end of the article, and processes such as drilling for geothermal wells and culling forests of small overgrowth could pose it’s share of environmental problems. But both of these efforts can be done in an environementally benign way. Let’s hope that’s the path these new Oregon energy companies choose.
